Make it soundproof and take my money.

Are you trying to stop sound getting in or getting out? In the first case some decent earplugs should be sufficient.

Nathan for You S3.E6 also explored this idea as a hotel amenity for sexually active parents.

The show was wholesome enough that we started watching it with the kids...

...and then that episode came on.

Most awkward family night ever.

No, they are not. Imagine some construction work with heavy drilling outside your bedroom window.

Imagine if, with advances in materials science, that it was. Could we make a 3 meter cube that was acoustically isolated from the rest of the world? Then they could do all the heavy drilling they want.

In this case, it's not just sound vibrations but vibrations that you can feel in your house and bed! Truly difficult. Double or staggered stud walls really help.

Hey, aliens aren't stupid! They know that we've got more cameras nowadays and are more careful because of it.

Chums of Chance.

From moviegoers point-of-view it has made a world of difference. For a smaller release the number of film copies we had in circulation here in Finland was miniscule and there was no chance of seeing those movies outside the bigger cities. With DCPs we've seen a resurgence of independent and/or countryside cinemas.

Yes, this would be my hypothesis too. I see Hollywood epics all the way from D.W. Griffith (and the studios that made them) wanting to broadcast an aura of gravitas. And nothing does that like using pretentious Roman numerals. Of course it's all convention nowadays.

Yup, sounds like a Rob Zombie song.

If you want to differentiate between mammals and other vertebrates you could simply say "other vertebrates".

Non-mammalian vertebrates also

Personal anecdote. I remember dragging myself to measure theory classes at 8am and constantly struggling with the material, even if I'd had a good night's sleep. After a few weeks I called quits on this insanity and switched to self-study, breezing through the course.

Exactly this, and they are ubiquitous. With software I think it might be a slightly different matter as the company mighy have access to software you couldn't otherwise afford. But it's a red flag anyways ... why would you ever want to work for someone who'd want to claim ownership to something that is clearly not theirs?

As a former national-level 10km runner I can very much second this training regimen. However if your starting point is sedentary you are probably better off doing something that you like and can commit to, be it high-intensity or otherwise. Studies like these are important in showing various tradeoffs but shouldn't be used blindly and prescriptively.

Hey - congrats on national level 10k! Very impressive! When you say ‘this’ training regimen, do you mean the fast/slow/in between i described, or the one they talk about in the article? If the article then I’m gonna give it a try anyway!
