I think the ultimate test (and application) for artificial intelligence will be to tell the computer "Make me money" and then it figures out thousands of ways to do it and starts executing on these strategies. Potentially very dangerous outcomes however without morality.

Or another initial application of artificial intelligence I think is in trading financial markets, and distilling every point of data to create models of predicting markets and making obscene amounts of money.
