I don't like these articles that just take for granted conspiracies don't exist or people labeled conspiracy theorist are crazy. I think in many cases it's a case of being directionally correct but for the wrong reasons. People are _correct_ not to trust the media or their government. They might be wrong on why but they're not wrong overall
I know a woman who is absolutely sure there are half-lizard/half-human “people”(?) living in the sewers of New York, which she knows about from a secret news group. Some theories are absolutely BS and crazy. She’s even a nurse, so understands DNA, etc, and this also contradicts her very deeply held religious beliefs. _Something_ is going on to get people like her to believe things like this.
Yeah agreed, so many of these people are mentally ill. But also, so many conspiracies in my country have been exposed and proven correct. I think the mentally ill folks are used to discredit the "hey these powerful people have colluded and lied to the public's detriment" people
