I’ve had so many weird looks from people when they ask for my Instagram and I say don’t have it. Why must I upload pictures of myself for other people to view? I don’t care about the number of likes or followers I have or that other people have.

IG is hardly about that any more. These days it's mostly just a feed for new content just like HN, YouTube, Twitter etc. - Not worse, not better.
