I've recently realized that one can effectively cross-ventilate studio apartment by adding to their mail slots a PC-fan filtered by small HEPA-filter (to remover outdoor odors) combined with a window-attached ventilator pulling air to outdoors, possibly with a normal fan in the middle of the studio.
