Why It’s Time for NYC Restaurants to Return to Paper Menus (grubstreet.com)

There was an article yesterday about Samsung TVs that show ads. This strikes me as the same. It's super hostile to the consumer imo, but people don't seem to care. It's like so many things now, it's great for some cross section - probably even a majority- of people, but everyone else is basically just discarded.

Many NYC restaurants still have paper menus, upon request.

In the remainder, if the restaurant isn't super busy, waiters can often talk guests through the menu.

This may be a stupid luddite question, but do the restaurants provide free wifi to access this data keyed from the QR codes?

Because without that and me carrying a computer with a camera, my flip-phoned self has no way to access their electronic menu. Obviously I'm not their audience, and I'm not going to NYC to eat, but does this really work for them?
