Can we start by killing all the Greek letters and replacing them with Mathematica-esque notation, now that computers have dramatically reduced the convenience of writing symbols rather than words?

Computers have not reduced the convenience of writing symbols on PAPER or on a BLACKBOARD, the places where math is actually done.
