I would say it takes inspiration from Arecibo over FAST but it's clearly neither. The surrounding topology is flat in comparison to either and there isn't much of a forest to speak of. Correct! I did not mean to say that it was actually Arecibo in a different country, but rather that it was fairly heavily inspired by it.

I mentioned some of what you talk about in the latter part of your comment in another reply on a descendant of the GGP.
