It would be interesting to see a tree map of the sizes in Linux, like how big are the drivers, the network stack, ...

Maybe 99% of those 130Mb are the drivers, a lot were added to the kernel since 1997 I guess



Indeed, according to [1] a bit more than half of the Linux source is the drivers. But I don't know if those proportions still holds after compilation.
