> Also, I've never had a security issue due to TOFU, have you?

You haven't yet had a security issue due to TOFU - FTFY.

It's very interesting that you can force the execution of a specific command.

I wonder if that can be somehow employed to somehow get kubectl to invoke ssh in order to get an authentication tokens.

I would be cool to authenticate to kubernetes via ssh.

It’s also discriminatory on the basis of the gender, “weird” that nobody’s complaining about that.

Men are biologically disposable. If a nation lost 90% or better of its adult male population, it could still bounce back within a generation or two.

Women have no incentive to change that, and the small fraction of men powerful enough to change it can already exempt themselves from the meat grinder. The remaining men's opinions don't matter.

German women as capable as men, btw. How about to stop this sexist bullshit

It's not about capability, it's about value.

Women's lives are valuable, men's are not. This has been the case across basically all societies in human history. Losing a ton of men really doesn't matter too much - especially young, family-less men.

Losing a lot of women, though, is really really bad.

One woman can have one child a year. One man can have hundreds of children a year.

This isn't sexist, it's reality. It's the rationale for male conscription and male disposability.

And farewell gender equality I guess.

Interesting fact: it was recently "revealed" in a podcast episode by Bryan Cantrill that Jane Street was one of the early customer of the Oxide Computer company.

What if I want to run EmDash on my own infrastructure? Is there a way to run EmDash plugins outside cloudflare's Dynamic Workers ?

> This is an extinction event for the low-cost cell phone companies. How are they going to survive if they can't sell their $100 phones profitably for 2 years?

This is a great thing to happen, actually. Those phones are all essentially trash that ends up in a landfill within a year or so. They should not exist at all.

It is true though.

We have a cursor subscription and work and i now see many non-technical people building their own internal tooling. People that had essentially never written a line of code before this new revolution.

The cost of building software has really drastically decreased.

So has the quality unfortunately

It’s fine. The business value still exceeds the intangible loss due to quality. And for internal tools with a few-months-lifespan it’s perfectly acceptable.

> (8 years before the introduction of the Apple Pencil)

I have briefly used one of the old PDAs with Windows Mobile and a stylus, and i have an ipad with an apple pencil.

They are two completely different experiences.

A stylus is clunky, particularly if you consider styluses as they were back in the day: pieces of dumb plastic with a specific shape to fit in the PDA itself, to be used on dumb resistive touch screens.

the apple pencil (as well as other modern styluses) are completely different, and work on capacitive touch screens.

That’s must the reason why some people can’t get a partner /s

> This is great for embedded/low power machines like the OG WRT54G, but not as optimal for when you have an entire random PC.

There are steps in the middle :)

I'm running OpenWRT on the recent WRT3200ACM and it's going beautifully.
