Yes, and Dropbox could have been a handful of unix commands.
I don't think I would use an app for this, but as far as I can tell, it aims to crowdsource silent locations, something a shortcut couldn't realistically achieve.
In my opinion, it’s good to make these mistakes earlier rather than later on. You got the scars early enough to think there must be a better way, as opposed to starting with the “old school way” and then thinking that AWS/GCP would make it easier.

Not a startup founder nor do I really have much knowledge in dealing with equity, but assuming that 51% of the equity remains with OP, couldn’t they give the spouse “equity without executive power”? I know I’ve heard of that concept somewhere but can’t remember exactly where from.
Well, yes, "Linux" is not well-specified. When one installs Arch, they hopefully know what they want, and it's something else than just a low-maintenance casual desktop OS. :)

I would think that there’s definitely VC money in making your customers happy. What makes them happy might be different, but I believe the sentiment still remains
Wouldn’t that incentivize more intricate methods for large corporations to pay larger income? I understand what he’s going for, but I personally think that such a tax law might cause unintended consequences and perverse incentives
