You might already know, but if you click on the extension icon, you can specify which pages to disable it for. I disable it in pages that have useful keyboard navigations. But it's great for things like HN, where I can use J/K to navigate, then hit F and open a link I want.
That makes sense. I was planning to write up some ideas that people can just take if they want. Also, seems like a good idea to have people pick what they're working on before the actual hackathon starts.
Do you have any example of what non-technical people worked on? For example, we have QA members and I'd love to include them, but I don't have as many ideas as I do for developers.
This looks really interesting! It seems like there's potentially 2 great companies in here:
1. Providing good programming tests with automatic env setup
2. Automatic PR reviewing and grading.
By this I mean that you could do less and still be useful, for example just run linting and tests on the PR and let me review it myself. That will match what I do at work anyway. That would let you focus on just providing great example projects and covering more languages, rather than on the automatic grading.
+1 on this. The env setup and test design along with a way for the candidate to submit their solution would save us a ton of work. I'd happily pay $30/interview just for that. I wouldn't be wanting to to rely on a 3rd party for grading. Nor would I want to assign a grade without having a chance to talk through the code with the candidate.
Hi everyone! I made this extension to show you a random quote from your Readwise every time you open a new tab. I like re-discovering things I've highlighted while I'm browsing, so I thought it would be a fun tool.
Let me know what you think!
Anderson Paak just recently got this tattooed on him [1]
“When I’m gone, please don’t release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached. Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public”
The multitasking seems great. Can you just Shift Click any link and it will open it in the same tab?
I'm wondering about workspaces. It feels like a thing that sounds like a good idea but then in practice isn't used much. My browsing is mostly chaotic and I don't really wanna spend time neatly organizing everything. Wondering what your experience with it has been.
Good luck with everything!
If you shift-click a link, it will open it in your split screen!
I actually have 4 or 5 work-related workspaces (different features I might be working on, one for Kanban board), I have two for personal (1 for DnD, 1 for Youtube videos), and most of my other browsing is quite ephemeral, so the page is closed pretty quickly after opening.
We also want to implement rules for workspaces, so for example you can set certain domains to always open in specific workspaces.
Try it out and let us know what you think and if it helps you!
