Same story here, just with modafinil. All the signs were there since as far back as I was 7 years old.
I've been able to control my focus so much better which seems to make me less tired. When I sit to get work done and inevitably get distracted, I can recover instead of go down a spiral of unproductiveness. I'm also better at prioritizing my focus on the things that are important, such as a must-have feature for launch, rather than a nice-to-have that I just enjoy working on more.
And surprisingly, I've been getting some of the best sleep of my life so far on a pill designed to keep you awake. Who knew?

It's my experience as well. I used to wake up really tired. I still get the same hours of sleep but I wake up feeling... normal? which is an improvement. Very unintuitive.
Yeah I feel like I sleep great at night w/ modafinil.
To be clear: I can't sleep well at all for about 8-12 hours following a dose. It has killed my ability to take a lunchtime nap.
But as long as I don't take it after noon, I get great sleep at night. I fall right to sleep in minutes. Plenty of dreams as well, which suggests to me I'm getting in some good REM sleep.
This happened to a friend of mine. She had listed a mattress with bed for sale on FB marketplace. Someone reached out and bought it and said would arrange pick up. They sent a screenshot of them Zelleing her. After a few minutes they reached out and told her they changed their mind because they cant pick it up and if they can Zelle them back. She did thinking it just hadn't hit her account yet. $1800 down the drain.
So she sent $1800 to someone without first seeing a pending transaction of any kind for a $1800 credit? Some things have to be learned the hard way if that's all it takes.
The solution for this is instant SMS narratives. If you do any kind of transaction, whether receiving or sending, you will get an SMS detailing the (completed) transaction.
Over time people will be conditioned to wait for the SMS before finishing any transaction
No, the scammer stole someone’s credentials and the bank clawed back the payment. The bank can always reverse it at any point in the future. The consumer never, ever can.
This is Zelle's fault? A screenshot? Either you have low friction financial transactions or you bubble wrap the whole thing so people don't do incredibly stupid shit.
How is the drug different than victoza or any of the other weight management drugs that are currently under investigation for causing pancreatic cancer?
Victoza is the brand name for Liraglutide. The drug we are primarily interested in is Semaglutide. Both Semaglutide and Liraglutide are GLP-1 receptor agonists.
It's worth doing your own research and consulting a doctor but the experts I've spoken to (academics and clinicians) along with the studies state that:
"GLP-1 analogues did not increase the risk for pancreatic cancer when compared to other treatments" (from a Nature Scientific Reports meta-analysis paper published in 2019) [1].
I get how when compared to other treatments for diabetes it may not increase your risk but when we are comparing with other treatments for weight management or just no treatment at all, I find it hard to believe that it doesn't significantly increase the risk for pancan. I understand it's FDA approved but so have been all other drugs in its class that are allegedly linked to pancreatic cancer.
It's worth noting that, as with any medication, there is a cost-benefit trade-off. In this case it will depend on someone's current weight, what they've tried in the past, and the risks of other conditions e.g. heart disease, diabetes, and their past medical history. Each person that joins Fella has an in-depth discussion about this with an independent obesity physician and is welcome to speak it through with their own PCP too.
