At least before they were tangentially still an actual developer tool, standard vsc windows, the code was the point etc.

Now they offer really nothing interesting for professionals.

That's a curious statement given that what they're doing is just becoming more like Claude Code, which seems extremely popular on this forum.

Opencode actually has a pretty solid codebase quality wise. I have done brief pokes and its been largely fine.

The core architecture is not interesting? its an LLM tui, theres not much there to discuss architecturally. The code itself is the actual fascinating train wreck to look at.

This is BY FAR the worst part of LLMs to me. The influx of people i have zero desire to interact with into my normal online spaces has been incredibly painful.

I am so over it, its not interesting and none of the people participating in it really have any noteworthy skills. I spend more time lurking in lobste.rs these days than here.

I mean, they are seemingly breaking every week or two so that might be what they are doing.

Its hard for me to disagree more, being a great programmer is completely orthogonal to how fast you "get the job done."
